My daughter, Hanna, and I made these tasty, itsy-bitsy spiders for her birthday party in October. While we were decorating, she came up with the idea to use the leftover licorice strings that we'd used to make the legs to create a "web" on the serving plate. She's so creative! And everyone at the party got a real kick out of the treats.

1. I used toothpicks to poke holes in the treat where I wanted to put the licorice legs. That way, they were lined up and spaced out nicely. And it was easier to push the licorice into the treat.
