    Why use Kellogg's® Rice Krispies®?

As the first crisped rice cereal, Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® has been bringing families together in the kitchen for over 80 years.

To experience the timeless flavor, make your Rice Krispies Treats® squares with the original Rice Krispies® brand cereal.

    Where to buy

1. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

2. In large electric mixer bowl, beat together margarine and sugar until light and
fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add flour mixture, mixing until combined.
Stir in KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal and chocolate chips. Drop by level
tablespoon onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.

3. Bake at 350° F about 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove immediately
from baking sheets and cool on wire racks. Store in airtight container.

My mom is legendary for her Rice Krispies Treats. She has many varieties, but my favorite is her Rice Krispies and Cocoa Krispies mix. At every Christmas dinner, where four generations of family get together, they are always hunting down her treats. Family members even bring their own Tupperware to hide a stash. In preparation for these dinners, I would always try to get her to leave some of the mixture on the spoon so I could eat it while it was warm. But she would scrub the spoon so well! I have taken over her recipes and, when I have children, I will do the same with them and carry on the family tradition.
